TSR 4P
TSR4P – USB Radon Continuous Soil Probe
Similar to TSR4 – USB Radon Probe plus the probe is adapted for insertion into a bore hole of minimum diameter 50 mm and for operation in places with increased humidity as are caves and mines. Two probe chambers are filled with replaceable special dehumidifier for decreasing of humidity in measuring chamber if the probe operates in humidity environment. If it operates in humidity environment the dehumidifier needs to be replaced or dried. If the relative humidity of environment is above 90% the change interval of dehumidifier is 6 weeks. The battery will last for up to 1 year ensuring autonomous operation of the probe within the bore. Once the probe is removed from the bore the recorded and stored data can be downloaded over USB into PC.
The TSR4P Radon Soil Probe is designed to continually measure radon volume activity in soil. Soil radon concentration changes may precede certain behavior of Earth’s crust and various elements in the bedrock. For example, long-term monitoring of the soil gas radon concentration can be used to predict seismic activity or earthquakes.
